I am teaching Scilab at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, (chemical engineering, numerical methods course since 2nd semester, 2001, audience: 120 students), and I am very pleased. Scilab is a powerful programming language. Thank you INRIA. Thank you Metalau Group.

very nice package and the price is right
syntax is a little different from matlab
we use it on a production basis at the office
also for prototyping algorithms

I am interested in looking into porting spm'99
to scilab. spm'99 is the abbreviation for
statistical parametric mapping (version 99).
Do you know of any users who looked into the
problems of porting spm'99 to scilab.
Thanks,

Thank you for this great piece of FREE software, it has almost all the tools i need for the numerical computations and is VERY FAST !!!
but i wonder if there were an interface to symbolic computation language like lisp-scheme or prolog as it already has to Fortan and C.
i love this program and i'm sure it'll soon be used by everybody instead others packs...
