I think Scilab is great, but the user linterface of Linux should be improved. Also I think shoul be added a PDE solver and a more special functions like the Mathieu Functions, Airy Functions etc,...

Dear friends and SciLab team,

I have used Scilab in spectral estimates, specially FFT, on programming algorithms to improve the detecction of electrical transformer's faults, and I like to accentuate that it is an efective tool doing this and have the great feature that is a freeware software. I like to thank the Scilab team saying that we are introducing this software on our electromechanic laboratory and say that all the algorithmms I did can be reach by my e-mail.

Regards, Jonas Pesente.

Have been a Scilab user for 5 years.

Really like version 3.1. The new plot2d is much improved.
