General setup: In this section, Networking and PCI support
options should generally always be enabled, as should "Kernel support for
ELF binaries" (build it into the kernel, not as a module). The a.out and
MISC binary options are recommended, but generally make more sense as
kernel modules. Also be sure to enable "System V IPC" and "Sysctl
support." See the built-in help for more information on these
options.
Parallel port support option: The Parallel port support
section should be of interest to anyone with parallel port devices,
including printers. Note that in order to have full printer support, you
must also enable "Parallel printer support" under the "Character devices"
section in addition to the appropriate parallel port support here.
