Loadable module support: Under this configuration category are
three options related to the kernel's support for modules. In general,
all three options should be enabled.
Processor type and features: This section includes various
CPU-specific configuration options. Of particular importance is the
"Symmetric multiprocessing support option", which should be enabled if your
system has more than one CPU. Otherwise, only the first CPU in your
system will be utilized. The "MTRR Support" option should generally be
enabled, since it will result in better performance in X on modern
systems.
