this is my first public alpha-version of the FreeDOS games CD. The CD boots up with FreeDOS and runs (when it is finished some day) up to 500 free DOS games. At the moment "only" 50 free games are on it, means: only 10 % of the work is done. When booting, the CD asks for a diskette with the "HAll of Fame" (HOF) - means the points you have made your own and loads them. When finishing the game, the "Hall of Fame" is safed on this diskette. If you do not insert a diskette, the CD also works, but does not safe the HOF. The idea of the CD is that you can play your old games on your new computer without destroying anything on your new machine or hard drive. After rebooting the machine, you can work as usual. This CD is still an alpha-version as I have not had the time to test all the games and if everything works fine. For this reason I am especially interested in the answers to the following questions: a) Does the CD-ROM-driver asuscd.sys work properly (it seems to have problems with older CD-ROM-drives)? b) Which games don't work (please give me the starting letters, e.g. S on the main menu and A on the sub-menu - program ends when moving the mouse)? c) Which games don't save the HOF? Please give me the starting letters Some games have no option to save the HOF!! d) Which games don't start with the last saved HOF? Please give me the starting letters. e) Which other FREE games exist and work on FreeDOS and, if you know, where can I download them? Please NO shareware! f) Which game categories do you think I should use? g) If you find a game which is NOT freeware, please inform me as soon as possible. Please send bug reports to: fritz.mueller@mail.com Thank you for testing!
