For running MSWindows applications under GNU/Linux Wine (Section 58.1) provide a open source option that works for many applications, but not all. Wine provides an implementation of many of the MSWindows libraries so that MSWindows applications can run diretly under GNU/Linux. VMware (Section 58.2) provides a virtual machine on your GNU/Linux desktop in which you can install MSWindows. Citrix (Section 58.3) uses the Windows Terminal Server to access a Windows machine and display the desktop within a window on the GNU/Linux desktop. For applications that can work with MSWindows documents see OpenOffice 65 and AbiWord 8.
